While the magazine will continue to be true to itself and its slogan—“We are college life”—and to spotlight amazing students, artists, venues, events, deals and more, the book will be undergoing a massive makeover. The 2015 version of Study Breaks will feature a clean, modern and graphic design. Also, while it will continue to be printed by Shweiki Media Printing Company, the magazine will now be perfect-bound (think magazines like Cosmopolitan, GQ, etc.), rather than saddle-stitched ilk supermarket tabloids such as US Weekly. Not only are perfect-bound books seen as more upscale and desirable, but this type of binding also increases the longevity of each magazine.
In addition to the aesthetic updates, Study Breaks will also be expanding distribution. In addition to current cities (Austin, Houston, Lubbock, San Antonio and San Marcos), the magazine will now be found in other college towns—more than ever before!
Here at Study Breaks, we’re excited to create an updated magazine—our best design yet—and to continue to serve as Texas college students’ guide to college life, telling them who to know, where to go, what to do and how to do it.
We are college life. And we’re about to be better than ever.
