We all know college students are glued to their cell phones. Check out a college campus–any campus–for five minutes, and you’re bound to see half the population walking around, nearly crashing into each other, gazing down at screens with fingers moving furiously.
But what is it really that college students are using their cell phones for? Games? Text messaging? Email?
Study Breaks, in conjunction with Campus 2 Careers, has just released a Student Mobile Survey to find out what, exactly, students are doing on the thousands of phones on campus. From questions about how often QR codes are scanned to inquiries about purchasing habits via mobile and any potential frustration that might arisewhen sites aren’t optimized for mobile use, the survey seeks to get the details on students’ mobile habits: what they like, what they don’t like and what they’re actually using these devices for.
